Nepalese Congress to endorse JSP in Bara-2 by-election

KATHMANDU, April 2: In a recent development, the Nepalese Congress has announced that it will support the Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) in the upcoming by-election for the House of Representatives (HoR) to be held in Bara-2.

The decision was made today after a meeting of the Nepalese Congress party, in which they decided to back JSP candidate Upendra Yadav for the HoR by-election. The move by the Nepalese Congress is significant as it will likely boost the chances of Yadav and the JSP in the upcoming elections.

In addition to the JSP and the Nepal Congress, three other political parties have filed for election. These include the Rastriya Swatantra Party, the Janamat Party and the Loktantrik Samajbadi Party.

The Bara-2 HoR by-election takes place after Ramsahay Prasad Yadav was elected Vice President of the country.

The support from the Nepali Congress will provide a significant boost to the JSP as the two parties have been at odds before.

With the support of the Nepalese Congress, the JSP hopes to secure a victory in the Bara-2 HoR by-election and maintain its representation in the lower house of Nepal’s parliament.
