‘Kabja’: A cheap copy of ‘KGF’

After the success of films like ‘Baahubali’, ‘KGF’, ‘RRR’, ‘Pushpa’, the production of films in this style has increased in South. However, the number of preferred and commercially successful films is very less. After the trailer of the South film ‘Kabja’, which started showing on Friday, was released, it was called the second ‘KGF’. However, a weak copy of ‘KGF’ has been released.

The film has superstars like Upendra, Kichcha Sudeep, Shiva Kumar, Shriya Saran. However, the film has been widely criticized on social media saying that it has become a cheap copy of ‘KGF’ due to its lack of content and presentation. Indian viewers who have watched the film are expressing their anger on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Upendra’s performance has also received a very bad response.

The audience who watched the film have started a campaign not to watch it saying that it is a waste of money and time. After the release of the trailer, there was a buzz about ‘Kabja’ in Nepal as well. The film which could not be released in Nepal on Friday due to the non-arrival of the file from India, will be screened on Saturday afternoon. However, it seems that the film, which received a very bad response in India, will only sink the distributor’s money in Nepal.

‘Kabja’ is made in Kannada language and directed by R Chandru. The film has been released simultaneously in Hindi, Malayalam, Telugu and Tamil languages. The background of the film is 1942, 5 years before the independence of India. In a review of the film by Navbharat Times, it has been mentioned that Upendra, the character played by Yash in ‘KGF’, has been filmed almost exactly.
