KATHMANDU, March 4: The Aam Janata Party (AJP), chaired by MP and former minister Prabhu Sah, has endorsed Nepal’s top Congress leader Ramchandra Paudel in the presidential election.
Paudel has represented the eight-party alliance in presidential elections.
AJP spokesman Chandrabhushan Sah supported Paudel’s candidacy and said he would vote for him.
“I express my congratulations and best wishes for the victory in advance with deep hope and confidence that the common symbol of national unity will perform its functions efficiently in accordance with the supreme interest of the country and the people,” said Sah.
According to the Election Commission, the election for the post of fourth president of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal is scheduled for March 9.
In the election, Ramchandra Poudel of the eight-party alliance and Subashchandra Nemwang of the UML have put forward their candidacy.
