Badal elected president of ANNFSU

KATHMANDU, February 17 – Samik Badal has been elected president of the All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU) for its 23rd national general convention. ANNFSU is the student wing of CPN (UML).
Badal polled 962 votes to defeat his closest rival RC Lamichhane who polled 356 votes.
Also, Govinda Giri, Narayan Gharti, Maryada Bista and Dharma Giri have been elected ANNFSU Vice Presidents.
Similarly, Naresh Rokaya has been elected Secretary General.
The national general convention has elected a central committee of 199 members, including 17 officers. Likewise, three commissions of 15 officials each have been formed.
A total of 1,588 representatives participated in the national general convention from across the country.
