Speaker Bidya Devi Bhandari addressed the joint meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) and the National Assembly on Friday afternoon.
President Bhandari addressed the joint session of the two Houses for the first time since the general election on November 20, 2022.
President Bhandari’s term expires on March 13 and the Election Commission has already announced the holding of presidential elections on March 9.
She will also be hosting a tea party for newly elected lawmakers on Saturday afternoon.
