Artist Mahadev Tripathi Honored With ‘Gorkhali Samman’ In America

KATHMANDU, February 7: The famous comedian Mahadev Tripathi has been honored in the United States. Joyce Watterman, President of the New Jersey State Council, USA, honored him with the ‘Gorkhali Samman’.
Dr. Bishnumaya Pariyar bestowed the honor on him during a ceremony in New Jersey, United States. Pariyar, a Nepali national, is Watterman’s adviser. Due to his physical condition, Watterman sent Pariyar as his representative.
Prior to this, Pariyar was a former advisor to Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop’s Diversity and Inclusion Board and is currently a member of the Jersey City Women’s Job Training and Counseling Committee. The famous photographer Sagar Gurung, Ramesh Kumar Darnal and others were present on the show.
Entertainer Tripathi, who came to the United States a few months ago to represent Nepal’s artistic culture and musical entertainment, has captivated audiences with magic, comedy and music. Tripathi has done about a dozen shows in New York, Virginia, California, Dallas, New Jersey, and elsewhere in the United States. Tripathi informed that there are still some programs in different cities of America.
Manaslu World College Chuchchepati sent Tripathi from Nepal for the American program. The purpose of his America show is to entertain Nepalis in America and exhibit Nepali art and culture in different cities in America and attract Nepalis and Americans living in America to visit Nepal. The artist Tripathi has been honored in different parts of America.
