Anupam Kher reacts to the boycott of ‘Pathan’, ‘If the film is good then no one has power…’

Anupam Kher on Pathan: Shah Rukh Khan starrer spy thriller film ‘Pathan’ has become the biggest film in the history of Indian cinema. Directed by hitmaker Siddharth Anand, this film has once again proved that if films are made properly and marketed, the audience will come back to the theatres.

‘Pathan’ released in theaters on January 25 as the fourth installment of Yash Raj Films’ Spy Universe. Since then the film is making new records every day. The film has done a worldwide business of Rs 832.2 crore in just 12 days. Although the film had to face the Boycott trend before its release. While talking about ‘Pathan’, Bollywood actor Anupam Kher said that people have also seen it with a sense of revenge against the Boycott trend.

Senior actor Anupam Kher in a recent conversation with DNA talked about the super success of Shahrukh Khan’s latest film ‘Pathan’. Anupam Kher said, “No one is influenced to watch a film by following a trend. If you like the trailer of the film, you want to watch it. If the film is well made, no one has the power to It should be twisted and presented. People will also go to watch the film with a sense of vengeance against the hate trend.”

Film audience never boycotted cinema
Anupam Kher further said, “Audiences never boycotted cinema. We went through pandemic, there was lockdown, and people were asked to sit in their homes. This has happened after 100 years or something. During the phase, the audience looked for other means of entertainment. Commenting on this, Anupam Kher said that OTT platforms saw a boom and they started watching movies easily. It takes some time to bring them out of fear.

Anupam Kher will soon be seen in the film ‘Shiv Shastri Balboa’. It also stars Neena Gupta, Nargis Fakhri and Sharib Hashmi in important roles. The film, directed by Ajay Venugopalan, will hit the theaters on February 10.
