Anurag Kashyap suffered a heart attack during the Corona period, the family took this step in a hurry

Anurag Kashyap heart attack: Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has talked about the difficulties he faced during and after the pandemic. During this, he revealed that he had suffered a heart attack. Anurag told that because of this he was forced to leave social media for some time.

He also talked about ‘Gangs of Wasseypur 3’. Anurag said he would make it when there was ‘nothing else to do’ and needed the cash to survive.

Speaking to Mashable India, Kashyap said, “When someone has nothing to do, they make sequels or remakes. I have written a lot but waiting for opportunities. From 2019- I started shooting, and then the pandemic came and it stopped. And then the pandemic ended. Then it happened again, and then I had a heart attack. Then I made a film, in which people said that you are addressing things which you should not do.

Had a heart attack during the Corona period

Talking about his heart attack in 2021, the filmmaker said, “Well, it happened, there was a lot of stress. I wanted to work, but nothing was happening. Everyone liked my work but was intimidated by my Twitter avatar. I recovered my Twitter account again.” Kashyap said that he brought it back in 2021 after several political incidents, but felt that ‘everyone was just shouting’ and it was causing him a lot of stress.

Anurag Kashyap had earlier told The Indian Express that he had gone off Twitter because his daughter was receiving rape threats and was having anxiety attacks. However, when the events of Jamia Millia happened, he returned to social media as he could not handle it anymore. The filmmaker was to undergo angioplasty in 2021.

Anurag Kashyap told that he had locked himself in a room and was drinking heavily. He said, ‘I used to drink heavily for one and a half years. Aarti (Bajaj’s ex-wife) threw me out of the house. My daughter was only four years old then. It was a difficult period. I was sad. Punch was stalled. Black Friday was over. Allwyn Kalicharan was shelved, another film that no one knew about was shelved. I was thrown out of your name and thorns. I was drinking and I was fighting all these battles, and I was unceremoniously kicked out of projects that I wrote and that I was a part of. It was a very bad phase, and it accumulated an anger with the system, with the industry.
