Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Chairman Upendra Yadav has said that the CPN (Maoist Center) is positive about giving the vice-president post to the party.
He said this speaking to reporters after meeting CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman and Prime Minister (Prime Minister) Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Thursday afternoon.
“We talked about the elections for president and vice president, and other issues, including running the government with them. They are very positive about giving the position of vice-president to the party. The discussion continues,” he stated. “Now they have gone to the cabinet meeting. We will meet with the leaders of the CPN (Unified Socialist) shortly.”
The leaders of the Nepal Congress (NC), the JSP, the Maoist Center and the Socialist Unity Party will also meet later on Thursday.
The Nepali Congress (NC) and CPN (Maoist Centre) meeting in Baluwatar on Wednesday night reached an informal agreement to revive the pre-election coalition.
The meeting included top leaders from both parties, including NC Chairman Sher Bahadur Deuba and Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal.
