KATHMANDU, March 22: The Bagmati Province Assembly meeting has been postponed until March 24. Due to the absence of the Congress MPs, the meeting scheduled for 3 p.m. on Wednesday was postponed to the 24th. The Provincial Assembly will meet on March 24 at 1 p.m., according to DP Dhakal, the Chief Minister of the Bagmati Province’s political adviser. He stated that following today’s conversation between Speaker Bhuvan Pathak and Chief Minister Shalikram Jamkattel, it was decided to postpone the Provincial Assembly meeting. Today’s meeting was scheduled so that a resolution could be presented in response to Chief Minister Jamkattel’s vote of confidence. Congress, however, declared that its representatives would not go to the meeting, stating that the Chief Minister had made the decision to carry on with the vote of confidence without consulting them.
