The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index, which has been rising continuously since last week, has also increased on Sunday, the first day of the week. Today, the NEPSE index increased by 20.68 points to 2,164.61 points.
In this day’s trading, 141 million 988 shares of 259 companies were bought and sold 75 thousand 465 times, amounting to 5 billion 450 million 99 million 25 thousand, according to NEPSE.
Today, the sub-indices of banking, manufacturing and microfinance groups declined while all other sub-indices increased. According to NEPSE, banking group decreased by 12.25 points, production group by 60.17 points and microfinance group by 10.99 points, the highest sub-index of life insurance group increased by 468.98 points and non-life insurance by 322.28 points.
Similarly, the sub-index of development bank group increased by 19 points, the sub-index of finance group increased by 35.76 points, the sub-index of hotel group increased by 19.56 points and the sub-index of hydropower group increased by 52.61 points.
Investment group increased by 1.28, mutual fund group by 0.42, business group by 57.67 and other group by 12.33 points, according to NEPSE.
Today Nyadi Group Power Limited and Bahari Hydropower Public Limited have a positive circuit in their share prices. The share price of Buddhabhumi Hydropower Limited decreased the most by 4.25 percent. On the basis of transaction amount, Himalayan Distillery Limited has the highest turnover of 2129 million 52 thousand and Shivam Cement’s turnover of 19 million 68 million 63 thousand respectively. Based on the number of traded shares, Himal Dolakha Hydropower Company is at the top. Five lakh 27 thousand one hundred and eighty five shares of the company have been bought and sold.
