The comedy teleserial team “Sakkigoni,” which has achieved success, is set to produce a feature film. The title of the film is ‘Laaj Sharanam’. The film production was announced through a theme poster on the occasion of Basant Panchami on Wednesday. The film’s title itself gives away that it will have a comedic plot. The film is reportedly being filmed this year.
The two main characters of “Sakkigoni,” Arjun Ghimire (Pande) and Kumar Kattel (Jigri), will direct the movie, as per the poster. Nothing has been revealed about the artist. Kumar and Arjun are reportedly in talks to play the film’s lead actors. There are also rumors that other actors from the serial, including Kamal Mani Nepal, Sagar Lamsal, Harish Niraula, and Deepak Acharya, will be performing.
The team, including Kumar, traveled to Naubise in Dhading a few days ago to begin writing the script. The film is planned to be released in 2081. The team had been getting ready to start work on a film called “Funfuni.” Bipin Karki was cast as the main actor and Nischal Basnet as the director. The film could not be made, though, as Nischal later withdrew his hand.
