In the case of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan’s daughter Aaradhya Bachchan, the Delhi High Court has sent a summons to YouTube. Abhishek Bachchan filed a petition against ‘fake news’ on YouTube channel regarding his daughter’s health.
In this case, the Delhi High Court has now issued a summons to YouTube for not regulating the content on its platform. Judge C Harishankar said, “YouTube’s no tolerance policy is flawed and it is a money-making platform.” YouTube earns from every video that is uploaded. Then you don’t have any responsibility?’
The High Court also asked YouTube what its plans are to deal with false news and misleading information.
The court said, ‘It is your responsibility to improve your policy and harmonize with the new rules. What have you done so far? You say you have zero tolerance for pornography. But that is also on YouTube.
