Kathmandu- President Ram Chandra Poudel awarded 45 artists including Rajesh Hamal, Neer Shah, Deepak Raj Giri with honors, decorations and medals on the occasion of New Year on Friday. President Poudel distributed medals at a ceremony held at Sheetal Niwas.
Along with Shah, Madan krishna Shrestha, Haribansh Acharya, Rajesh Hamal and Nanda krishna Joshi received the prestigious Rashtradeep Vibhushan. Deepak Raj Giri, Shambhu Rai (Kuthumi), Pradeeplal Shrestha, Ashok Sharma, Alokshree (Suryakumar Khati), Deepak Jangam, Anand Karki, Arjun Shrestha, Gyanu Rana, Niruta Singh, Chetan Sapkota, Viraj Bhatt (Bhojraj Bhatt), Dayahang Rai and Satyakala Rai received Suprabal Janasewashri medals.
Milan Moktan, Dharmaraj Upadhyay, Sitaram Pokharel, Jeet Bahadur Deuja and Nirmal Sharma received Prabal Janasewashri medals. Sunita Dulal, Pradeep Khadka, Kamal Sunar, Santosh Shrestha, Deepak Sharma, Madhavraj Kharel, Shivram Vick, Ramesh Koirala, Sanam Kathayat, Kumar Basnet Vikrant, Kulman Nepali, Manohar Sunam Pariyar, Dillinarayan Pandey, Suresh Kumar Nepal Pariyar (Yashkumar), Sanukancha Shahi received janasewashri medals.
Prabhakar Sharma, Indra Bahadur Khatri, Krishna Bahadur BK, Naveen Paudel and Kiran Gajmer received Nepal Sewa Prabin. The government announced the names of the recipients of the medals on Ashwin 3.
