KATHMANDU, April 1 – CPN UML formed a 3-member negotiating team to reach an understanding with Bhim Rawal, the party’s former vice-chairman. The UML Secretariat meeting held on Saturday has given the team the responsibility to make the necessary decisions after the negotiation.
Prithvi Subba Gurung reported that a 3-member team was formed under the leadership of party vice-chairman Bishnu Paudel along with the party’s Far West Lekhraj Bhatta manager and co-manager Karna Thapa to reach an agreement with Rawal, who has been in the party since the party’s 10th convention but has not followed the party’s rules and regulations. UML has decided to give the team the responsibility to negotiate with the leader Rawal to reach the necessary conclusion.
According to sources, UML has prepared to ask leader Rawal for an explanation. At the meeting on Saturday, the leaders raised questions about Rawal. The party is preparing to ask for explanations alleging that it did not follow the decisions and party discipline of the UML.
