KATHMANDU: Nepal is going to host the first round of the Asian qualifiers of the Women’s Olympic Football-2024 tournament to be held in Paris, France.
Nepal and Vietnam women’s football teams will participate in the tournament organized by All Nepal Football Association (ANFA).
Even though Afghanistan and Palestine are also in Nepal’s group, after both of them withdrew their names saying that they will not play in the tournament, only two Nepal and Vietnam are going to compete.
The winning team of the group will advance to the second stage of women’s Olympic football.
Asian countries are divided into seven different groups. The winning team of each group will advance to the second round.
The first round of matches to be held in Nepal will be held on the April 5-8 at Dasharath Rangshala.
According to ANFA, the price of ordinary tickets for spectators watching the game is Rs 300 for the parapet and Rs 1000 for the VIP parapet.
According to the organizers, about Rs 43 lakh will be spent for the competition.
