KATHMANDU, March 9 – Aasif Sheikh has become the second Nepali cricketer to score 1,000 runs or more in One Day International (ODI) cricket. In a recent match against Papua New Guinea, as part of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League-2 tri-series, Sheikh achieved this milestone by turning one century.
Sheikh accomplished this feat in 32 innings, showing his consistency and determination on the field. He now joins Rohit Kumar Poudel as the only two Nepali players to have scored over 1000 runs in ODI cricket.
