The CPN-Maoist Center has formed a working group for left unity.
The Prime Minister’s Secretariat has informed that a five-member negotiating team has been formed under the coordination of Vice President Krishna Bahadur Mahara at the official meeting held on Saturday.
The team consists of General Secretary Dev Gurung, Deputy General Secretaries Girirajmani Pokharel, Shakti Basnet and Janardhan Sharma.
Earlier this morning, a meeting was held between Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda and former Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai at the Prime Minister’s Residence Baluwatar.
During the meeting, the issue of advancing the process of two party unity was also discussed. NESP has called a political committee meeting tomorrow. This meeting is said to form a team for talks on party unity.
