4 January, Kathmandu. Civil Liberties Party (NAUPA) has said that they have no position regarding the formation of the Far West Province government.
Chairman Shrestha said that while Naupa’s position of getting a Chief Minister was being discussed, it was only a matter raised in the discussion between the parties.
‘There has been no agreement between the ruling parties. During the discussion, ‘whatever is agreed upon is what happens’, she told Online Khabar, ‘We don’t have a separate stand anywhere.’
Sudurpaschim Province Chief Devraj Joshi has already called for the formation of the government. Time has been given for the appointment of Chief Minister till 27th of January at 5 pm.
27 MPs are needed for a majority in the Sudurpaschim Provincial Assembly which has 53 members. There are 19 MPs from the Congress, 11 from the Maoist Center, 10 from the UML, 7 from the Civil Liberties Union, 4 from the Unified Socialist Party, 4 from the RP, and one from the Independent.
In the Sudurpaschim Provincial Assembly meeting, a member of the Provincial Assembly elected from Civil Liberation Party warned that the meeting will not be allowed unless Resham Chaudhary is released.
