KATHMANDU, February 21: Civic leader and former Health Minister Prof. Dr. Mathura Prasad Shrestha bid farewell on Tuesday.
Health and Population Minister Padam Giri and Foreign Minister Bimala Rai placed the national flag on the body of the late Shrestha and paid their respects at Pashupati Aryaghat.
Dr. Shrestha passed away at 4:15 am Monday while receiving treatment at Annapurna Hospital.
He was Minister of Health in the Interim Government of 2047 BS
The national flag covers Shrestha’s body.
