James Pradhan, who made his name as a singer, musician, arranger, etc., has now become a film director. The short film ‘Short Term Memory Loss’ directed by him was premiered on Friday.
Famous celebrities of Nepali music were present at the event. Through this short film of 19 minutes, director Pradhan has presented the concept of ups and downs in the relationship of two lovers who have trouble forgetting.
He said that he became a director by using the skills he learned on the Internet. I was using my skills in various aspects of directing by watching different videos. At the same time, along with directing, I also became a writer,” Pradhan said.
Speaking after the premiere, Pradhan also expressed his desire to direct a feature film soon. His contemporaries congratulated him on such a wish.
Singer Ani Chhoeing Dolma encouraged him to become the chief director. He disclosed this at that time. I will direct the movie, but when? There is no way to say yet. It can also be understood as the beginning of that,” Pradhan said.
Samison GC and Bedana Rai, film students of Mandala Theater are acting in this film. The story is based on the situation and relationship of these two characters who accidentally met on the bank of the river.
Director Rajendra Shalav, who was present at the premiere, said that he realized James’ talent while making the advertisement. I got to understand the ability of storytelling along with singing in James. Even as a director, it was not difficult for me to recognize that talent,” he said.
Actor and fashion choreographer Prashant Tamrakar said that after watching the film, he felt different than usual. Singer Yogeshwar Amatya, Sachin Rauniar, Prasanna Dhoj Pradhan, Bhim Tuladhar and other musicians were present at the premiere.
