Mumbai- Bollywood actress Ameesha Patel is in the limelight due to her upcoming film ‘Gadar 2’. After a long time, she is making a comeback in the film. Meanwhile, the Ranchi Civil Court has issued a warrant against the actress.
She is accused of bouncing checks. The court issued a warrant against the actress and her business partner on Thursday. Ameesha and her lawyer have not reached the court even though the court has repeatedly given dates. The court has expressed grief over this attitude of the actress.
Now the next hearing of the case will be held on April 15. In this case, the actress is accused of fraud of 2.5 million rupees. Ajay Kumar Singh, a resident of Harmu in Ranchi district, registered a case of fraud against Ameesha and her business partner.
According to Ajay, Ameesha offered the film ‘Desi Magic’ and asked Ajay to invest in the film. After that, Ajay sent two and a half million rupees to Ameesha’s account.
The shooting of the film was supposed to be in 2013. But there was no shooting. At that time, when Ajay asked Ameesha for the money back, Ameesha and her manager promised to return the money with interest after completing the film.
Ameesha gave two checks of 2.5 crores and 50 lakhs to Ajay in October 2018 after not paying the money for a long time. But after the check bounced, he filed a complaint against Ameesha.
