KATHMANDU, March 12 – Nepal delivered a dominating performance in the final tri-series of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2 held at TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur on Sunday, scoring a decisive 177-run victory over the United Arab Emirates Joined.
Opting to bat first after winning the toss, Nepal posted a respectable score of 248 runs, thanks to captain Rohit Paudel’s 77 off 112 balls.
In response, the UAE faltered under Nepal’s disciplined bowling onslaught, with Lalit Rajbanshi claiming five wickets and restricting the UAE to just 71 runs in 22.5 overs.
With this victory, Nepal retained their one-day international status, securing a place in the ODI rankings.
