KATHMANDU, March 10 – Anne-Marie Trevelyan, UK Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, today visited Nepalese Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ at the latter’s official residence in Baluwatar.
The meeting between the duo focused on a wide range of issues, including bilateral relations between Nepal and the UK, according to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat.
Earlier, Trevelyan, who arrived here on a three-day visit on Wednesday, attended a ceremony hosted by the British Embassy in Nepal at Hanumandhoka Durbar Square on Wednesday.
His visit marked 100 years since the signing of a friendship treaty between Nepal and the United Kingdom in 1923, which formalized relations between the two countries.
He also inspected the Arun hydroelectric project. The project has an investment from the British government through the Investment Board Nepal.
The British Secretary of State returns home today after concluding her visit to Nepal.
