KATHMANDU, March 8: Nepal has been given the responsibility of chairing the least developed countries’ ‘coordination office’. Through the Fifth International Conference of the Least Developed Countries, Nepal was given the responsibility of coordinator.
The Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport has reported that Nepal has been given the responsibility of chairing the “Coordination Office” of the least developed countries at the conference which began in the Qatari capital Doha on March 5. The official handover of responsibility will take place during a ceremony at the United Nations a month later.
At the conference, Nepal reiterated its commitment to enter from a least developed country to a developing country by 2026. Nepal has raised the voice that the United Nations, its agencies and all development partners must help facilitate the entry of Nepal to a developing country. and sure
