Durga Prasai Power Rally In Baneshwar: Warn Microfinance And Banks

KATHMANDU, March 4: Durga Prasai, who is also a doctor, has demonstrated in Baneshwar. On Saturday he demonstrated his power by demanding a Hindu nation, the establishment of a monarchy and control of banks and financial institutions. Earlier, Prasai had carried out the Mechi Mahakali campaign from Jhapa to Kanchanpur with the same agenda.

Prasai started this campaign after meeting the former king Gyanendra Shah in Jhapa. His campaign has been supported by supporters of the monarchy and by those who support making Nepal a Hindu nation. In addition, lower level RPP workers have also participated in this campaign. At the rally held before the show in Baneshwar, participants demanded the establishment of a monarchy, the establishment of a Hindu nation, and the implementation of the 2047 constitution.

During his speech on the show, Prasai accused the current leaders of selling and eating the industries built during the king’s time and when they tried to operate new industries, they made him hang from a mango tree like a criminal. He said that the comrades, called communists, who spoke about the proletariat are now in the palace by the votes of the proletariat. He added that they have five or six houses in Kathmandu and have even sent money from here to Dubai. He mentioned that the people who have been singled out to become communists are now living in the jungle. He said that people from banks and microfinance companies that have arrived have forced the women of those towns to go into the jungle and that is intended to put an end to it.

Claiming to be a communist, he said that when he raised the voice of the proletarian class, he was punished by the communist party. He said that just like the village feudal lords who used to charge interest of Rs 3 per hundred rupees, now microfinance and banks are entering the village as feudal lords. He mentioned that when he talked about ending this, he was punished. Stating that he left the party club and is now on the streets and that the King is a high-ranking citizen of Nepal, he mentioned that he brought the King to Mechi and lit the lamp to save religion and culture. He also claimed that the victims of microfinance were looking forward to the Durga Prasai campaign and had refrained from committing suicide after being influenced by the campaign.

Prasai also warned microfinance and banks that the agitation against those institutions would continue. He also claimed that Nepali leaders brought money to Dubai and built hotels, resorts and villas. He has demanded the establishment of a monarchy saying that the republic has put the country in debt.
