BIRATNAGAR, March 2: Province 1 was renamed Koshi Province after the proposal was approved at the Provincial Assembly meeting held on Wednesday.
In accordance with the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, a Province-wide holiday was announced on Thursday to celebrate the naming of Province No. 1 as Koshi Province in the second term of the Provincial Assembly.
The Ministry reported that on the occasion of the appointment of Province 1 as Koshi Province, it has announced a holiday congratulating all the residents of the province. In the vote held on Wednesday, 82 votes were cast in favor of Koshi province and 4 against.
