KATHMANDU, February 28: The Supreme Court has given Sandeep Lamichhane permission to travel abroad and play tournaments.
With this decision, the Nepal Cricket Association is now preparing Lamichhane to send to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Earlier, the Patan High Court had handed down a verdict to release Lamichhane on bail after he was arrested on charges of raping a minor. The High Court had also ordered Lamichhane not to leave the country at the time his case comes under the court’s jurisdiction.
Lmaichhane then filed an application in the High Court for permission to go abroad to play tournaments.
Nepal is currently playing an ODI tri-nation series in the United Arab Emirates against the home team of the United Arab Emirates and Papua New Guinea.
