Kathmandu, February 22: The Embassy of Bangladesh in Nepal has issued a press release of the program held at the Embassy premises on the occasion of International Mother Language Day on February 21.
Along with the usual programs for the occasion, the Embassy organized a one-day art camp at its premises which was attended by around 40 renowned artists from Nepal.
Before the start of the art camp, the artists were informed about the historical events of Amar Ekushe and the meaning of International Mother Language Day.
Documentary videos on the importance of language protection were projected.
The artists received recognition certificates for their valuable participation in the art camp that was organized on the theme ‘Love for Language and Culture’.
The day began with the hoisting of the national flag at half mast with the national anthem. Special prayers were offered in memory of the language martyrs and freedom fighters.
In the debate session, the messages of the dignitaries were read and documentaries were shown.
