KATHMANDU, February 21: A Saurya Airlines plane about to take off for Biratnagar from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) has returned to the parking lane after a problem was detected.
The plane returned after its indicator signaled a problem as the plane had approached the runway for takeoff.
The plane with flight number SAU 721 had come close to the runway after boarding passengers when its indicator indicated a fault, said Teknath Sitaula, the TIA spokesman.
According to him, it is not clear what problem was seen on the plane. The plane is currently kept in the parking lot itself.
TIA officials have said that permission for the flight will be issued only after airline engineers examine the problem on the plane and report that the plane is airworthy.
