Kathmandu, February 20
The Nepal Civil Aviation Authority (CAAN) has decided to ban Guna Airlines from the completion of flights until the next notice after verifying that the company has not paid its staff recently.
The regulatory body says it decided to impose the suspension because the company’s non-payment of staff would affect staff psychology and ultimately could hamper the country’s aviation safety.
CAAN spokesman Jagannath Niraula says: “We believe that unpaid staff cannot work well and that means there could be security risks.”
The company began its regular operation only in September 2021.
