KATHMANDU, February 17: The Loktantrik Samajbadi Party has called an executive committee meeting. The executive committee meeting to be held at the party’s Babarmahal office on February 22 is said to discuss the formation of the central committee, the presidential election and other issues.
Although more than a year and a half has passed since the formation of LSP, the central committee has not yet been formed. Now the duties to build the central committee have begun. LSP said that it will be decided by the executive committee meeting. The party is also discussing the names that have come up for the central committee. After the consensus among the top leaders, it will be decided by the executive committee meeting.
There will also be a discussion on the promotion of Chairman Mahant Thakur to the position of Chairman at the meeting. According to the LSP, Thakur can be the presidential candidate if there is an agreement between the parties.
