KATHMANDU, February 6: The government once again prepares to move forward with the citizenship bill.
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal met with the key leaders of the political parties and discussed the progress of the citizenship bill.
The government is preparing to move forward with around a dozen bills alongside the citizenship bill.
Earlier, the government led by Sher Bahadur Deuba had endorsed the citizenship bill and President Bidya Devi Bhandari had refused to authenticate the bill calling for a review under Article 113(3) of the Nepalese Constitution.
The bill passed by parliament requires the president’s seal to become law.
