KATHMANDU, February 4: The election of the Vice President of the National Assembly was discussed at the meeting of the opposition parties in the Federal Parliament.
After the meeting held at the Nepal Congress parliamentary party office in Singha Darbar on Saturday, Nepal Congress Leader Ramesh Lekhak informed that the first phase of the National Assembly election was discussed at today’s meeting. .
“At today’s meeting, there was a brief discussion about what to do with the candidacy,” Lekhak said, adding: “Tomorrow we will have a meeting and we will decide on this.” Today’s meeting was attended by the Congress, the CPN United Socialists and the Loktantrik Samajbadi Party.
After the meeting, CPN United Socialists Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal said that listening and understanding what everyone said about the deputy chairman of the National Assembly was done today. “No political party has affirmed who will be nominated. The decision will be made according to the situation. However, we do not have any right to the position of vice president of the National Assembly,” said the Nepalese president.
