KATHMANDU, February 4: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said he will hold talks with all parties to resolve issues raised by the Rashtriya Swotantra Party (RSP).
RSP has lobbied the prime minister to hand over the Home Office portfolio to RSP, as its chairman, Rabi Lamichhane, had lost the post of deputy prime minister and home minister after his citizenship was annulled by the Supreme Court on 27 January. .
Speaking briefly to the media as they left the party’s Paris Danda headquarters this afternoon, Prime Minister Prachanda said he would hold talks with all parties and resolve the issue. “I am having conversations after a while. The problem will be solved.”
On Thursday night, a joint meeting of the central committee and the RSP parliamentary party decided to give Prime Minister Prachanda and UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli two days to decide whether to agree to award the home ministerial portfolio to RSP.
