Kathmandu, January 31

Six people who died in the Pokhara plane crash on January 15 have yet to be identified, and authorities say the DNA testing for the purpose they just started.

It would take at least two weeks to determine the identity of a dead person, reports Dr Gopal Kumar Chaudhary of the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital who is involved in the process.

Previously, the hospital had referred cases to the Nepal Police Forensic Science Laboratory after he was unable to identify six of the 48 dead taken to hospital for an autopsy.

The identity of 42 dead people had been determined through forensic reports and fingerprints.

On January 15, a Yeti Airlines plane flying to Pokhara from Kathmandu crashed in Seti Gorge in Pokhara killing all 72 people on board, including four crew members.
