Julian Sands: Who is the Hollywood British actor missing in California?
A weather warning has been issued for gusty winds of up to 70 km/h. British actor Julian Sands has entered his 10th day missing.
On Monday, January 23, the National Weather Service reported high winds affecting the Santa Ana Mountains and San Bernardino, near the San Gabriel Mountains where Sands is believed to have disappeared.
Warnings of possible power outages, travel disruptions and the risk of downed trees warned: “The strongest winds will be on south-facing slopes and lowlands, below Morongo Pass, and through and down the Santa Ana Mountain canyons.” The report said.
On Friday, the ground team was forced to stop the sand search operation due to the risk of avalanche in the area.
San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Public Information Officer Gloria Huerta said, “The aerial search is resuming, but we have not yet been able to begin a ground search due to the snow conditions and avalanche danger.”

Julian Sands, a well-known actor with over 150 screen credits, has disappeared while hiking.
The British star is believed to be somewhere on California’s popular Baldy Bowl Trail, which climbs 3,900 feet over 4.5 miles to the highest peak in the San Gabriel Mountains.
Search and rescue teams are searching for Sands, including friends of the actor, Matthew Modine, Rufus Sewell and filmmaker Frank Marshall, hoping to find him safe.

There is no specific deadline for the end of the search, officials said
US officials have said there is still “no hard deadline” to end the hunt for Julian Sands.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said the incident is still classified as a search and rescue operation.
“We will schedule another ground search once the weather improves, and it is safe for our ground crews,” a department spokesman said.
