Tom Hanks insists Nepo Babies must have ‘drive’ to succeed.
The 66-year-old actor is father to 32-year-old son Chet and 27-year-old Truman. Rita Wilson Also Colin, 45, and Elizabeth, 40, from his previous marriage to Samantha Lewes – all of whom work in the entertainment industry.

He said, ‘Shoe industry is a family business. The car industry is a family business. I think my kids are all like Renaissance artists, you know? [They] They are good at whatever they choose to be. But the question here is, can you make it stick?’
And then he said passion, drive, talent, and luck are really the essential ingredients.
‘You have to have passion, you have to have drive. And yes, our family is located in the company town of Los Angeles. Success is a combination of talent, perseverance, drive, and a small amount of luck.’
The Cast Away star added that when it was suggested that one of his sons play a younger version of his character in the movie, it was ‘supportive’ but the decision was all in the minors.

he told ET : ‘Now, of course, we had a director who said, “Well, why can’t your kid play you at a young age?” And it would make sense because we are very similar to each other,’ he said.
‘But the final analysis is that one has to show up on the day and hit the numbers and tell the truth. Only he can make that decision. It was entirely up to him.’
He said again on Tuesday today It was not his idea to cast Truman for the role in his new movie.

Hanks said he was nervous about taking the part of Truman, but knew he had a job on his hands.
He also talked about being known as Mr. Nice Guy.
‘I wish I lived a life where people were really afraid of me. But I tried to come in, like, angry. I don’t know, I make everyone laugh,’ he added.
He also said that he now focuses on meditation, which he learned from Jerry Seinfeld.
‘He goes, “No, you got it. I’ve been doing this since college,”‘ he says, doing his Seinfeld impression. ‘He put me together with his teacher, and it was a strange, easy, life-changing thing. And everyone should do it? Sure, why not?’
