The President of Guyana mentioned years old memories with PM Modi who reached Indore to inaugurate the program of 17th Pravasi Divas. He said that the distance between us and you may keep us far away, but our hearts and souls connect each other with faith and hope. You came to Guyana when you were not even the chief minister and you were loved there.
‘I studied here, I got a lot of love’
The President of Guyana said, similarly I studied in India before becoming the President and I got a lot of love from here. On behalf of the Government of Guyana, I have given a lot of love and support to the Government of India and the people here. He said that the difficult time you are going through at this time, you have lost your mother, you have once again told the world the importance of mother.
‘I was nothing then’
Thanking the President of Guyana, PM Modi said that I am very grateful to the President of Guyana that he shared old memories. He said that when I went to Guyana, I was nothing, I was not even the Chief Minister, I am very grateful to him. He further said that migrants have settled from India for many generations, they have made incomparable contribution in the nation building of those countries. We should preserve their achievements so that we can record their struggle in history.
