Original (January 6) Real Salt Lake is finalizing a potential club-record deal to sign winger Andres Gomez from Millonarios FC, a source tells MLSsoccer.com. Gómez will likely be added to their roster as an U22 initiative signing.
A transfer fee of $4 million has been agreed, which will surpass RSL’s previous club-record deal for the winger. Jefferson Savarino. The Venezuela international re-joined the club last May from Brazilian Serie A side Atletico Mineiro.

RSL is intent on building around youth, and Gomez fits that mold. They added two generations of adidas signatures through MLS 2023 SuperDraft presented by adidas – forwards Elijah Paul and Bertin Jackson – plus just made their 36th homegrown signing.
