Time has been given to submit the claim to the Chief Minister of Province 1 till 5 pm today.
Provincial Chief Parshuram Khapung had called on January 1 to submit the claim to the Chief Minister within seven days after achieving a majority with the support of two or more parties represented in the Provincial Assembly according to Clause 2 of Article 168 of the Constitution.
Province 1 has a 93-member provincial assembly. UML has 40 seats, Nepali Congress 29, Maoist Center 13, RPP 6, CPN United Samajwadi Party 4 and Janata Samajwadi Party 1. 47 votes are required for a majority.
