Jeremy Renner shares video of recovering in hospital after snowplow accident

At a press conference on Tuesday (Jan. 3), Washoe County Sheriff Darin Balaam described how a family member found Reiner’s car stuck in the snow.
“He went to retrieve his PistenBully or SnowCat — a very large piece of snow-moving equipment — to drive his vehicle,” Balaam said. “After moving the vehicle from a stop, Mr Rayner got out of Pistonbulli to speak to a member of his family and it started rolling.
“He tried to get into Pistenbully’s driver’s seat, it was at that point that he was run over by Pistenbully.”
A plow accidentally ran over an actor’s legs, despite a large array of safety features, causing massive blood loss, a neighbor said.
In his first post since the accident, Reiner shared a selfie from his hospital bed with the caption: “Thank you all for your kind words. I [sic] It’s too messy to type now. But I send you all love.”

ICYMI: Earlier today (January 5), the Marvel star shared the second update after the accident on social media.
As a video, she posted a “spa moment” from the ICU, showing her sister Kim shampooing her hair.
“It’s definitely a shower a week or so ago. Cheers!” he joked.

What was Rainer doing when he was injured?
There are varying reports about what Rainer was actually doing before the snowplow ran over.
But, according to Sheriff Balaam’s Tuesday (Jan. 3) news conference, Rainer was a “great neighbor” and was plowing snow for the homes around him.
Then, at some point, the actor went to retrieve his own personal vehicle driven by a family member, which was stuck in the snow.
Once he successfully towed his vehicle from its stuck position, Pistenbully got out of Pistenbully to talk to his family member as it began to roll.
According to the ongoing investigation, “Mr. Rayner was driven by Pistenbully at this point. A witness gave a detailed account of Mr. Rayner running into Pistenbully and not seeing him again until Pistenbully came to rest in a pile of snow in front of his driveway.

days before Hawkeye Star’s Horrible Accident, he shared the trailer to promote his upcoming Disney Plus series Renewals.
“There’s no better way to start the new year than giving back to those who need it most!” he captioned the post.
Renner’s new four-part series will showcase the actor’s “lifelong passion for giving back to communities.”

Video of Rainer being airlifted to hospital
Video footage of Rayner being airlifted to a nearby Nevada hospital has circulated on the web.
In the clip, received by TMZThe helicopter appears to have lifted off a snowy road near his Tahoe home where it crashed on Sunday (January 1).
There is also another video floating around online of someone being airlifted, falsely labeled as Rainer. In that recording, however, there is no snow on the ground.
At the time of the incident, Rainer was driving a piston bully to clear snow.

What is Renner’s injury?
Currently, local authorities have suspended the right to share updates on Rainer and his family about his condition.
The only information they have released at this time is that he “suffered chest and orthopedic injuries”, for which he has undergone two surgeries.

What are the police investigating?
Police said the investigation into Rainer’s accident is ongoing.
During Sheriff Balam’s Tuesday (Jan. 3) press conference, he shared that they are doing what they normally do after any major accident.
At the moment, the PistenBully is in their possession while they analyze it to “rule out any mechanical failure” that could cause it to start rolling.
However, they do not suspect any “foul play” and believe it was just a “tragic” incident.
