Saudi Medina: A competition is being organized for the architecture designer in the city of Madina. In this competition, Saudi and international architecture designers have been invited to develop the design of the city. Recently this competition has been launched by the Regional Office of Madina Municipality. With its help, the city will be asked to design in a new way.
Al-Usefirin district has been chosen for this. This place is situated in the South-East direction, about 1 kilometer away from Prophet Mohammad’s Mosque. Other important things of the city are located at this place, including the railway, Anbariya Masjid and the Muncipalty Headquarters. The competition is divided into two categories. In the first category the opportunity will be given to the people of the company and in the second to the students.
“We give people a chance”
Safiyah Sagor, one of the organizers of the competition, told Arab News that through this competition we will give a chance to the people. Medina will welcome all capable executives, engineers and designers from the Kingdom and the world to showcase their ideas, technology. This will give the local place of the city its own identity and they can leave their mark. They can prove their art and introduce people to new things.

The organizer of the competition said that as a municipality of Madina region, we are working to enhance the quality of life of the people by improving the places around the city. The condition of the competition is that the engineers and designers will have to make the most out-of-the-box designs. A cash prize of $26,600 has also been offered for this visionary project. By doing this, we will develop a special architectural identity in line with the heritage and history of the Madinah area.
