A team of joint police has seized different brands of rice that were imported to Birganj under customs evasion.
Police have seized 905 sacks of rice which were stored in a warehouse located in Ranighat, Birgunj Metropolitan Municipality.
Parsa Police Spokesperson (DSP) Deepak Giri informed that a joint police team deployed from Ward Police Office Birta and Sripur searched the godowns of Krishna Sah, Sunil Sah and Devnarayan Sah and seized 905 sacks of rice weighing 20, 24 and 26 kg respectively. gave
He said that the seized rice has been sent to Birganj Customs Office on Wednesday for further investigation and action along with the valuation of Rs.13 lakh 60 thousand 800.
