Kathmandu- The screening of the film ‘Nai Nabhannu La 6’, which was scheduled for public screening on 1st Baisakh, has been stopped. The production unit said that the screening of the film was stopped due to lack of censors.
The release of the film was affected after a complaint was filed with the Film Development Board regarding financial transactions against Sanjay Neupane, who is said to be the executive producer of the film. DS Digital and FD Company filed a complaint against Neupane in the board. Neupane owes Rs 11 lakh to DS Digital and Rs 2 lakh to FD.
Film Development Board Chairman Bhuwan KC said that the film was not stopped due to censors. He clarified that the development board has already issued a letter for the film censor.
‘Nai Nabhannu La 6’ is directed by Bikash Raj Acharya. Written by Samipyaraj Timillsina and Arundev Joshi, the film also stars Ashirwad Chhetri, Aanchal Sharma, Keki Adhikari, Priyanka Karki, Saroj Khanal, Khadg Bahadur Pun, actor Nikhil Upreti and actress Sanchita Luintel’s son Atharva. Produced under the banner of Akhyan Films, the producers of the film are Vikasraj Acharya and Vishnumani Dahal.
