BC’s leadership in Bardiali artist society

Kathmandu- Folk singer Kamal BC has been elected as the President of Bardiali Artist Society. The first general assembly of the society re-elected BC as the president.

The general assembly of the society formed for the rights and protection of Bardiali artists active in various genres of Nepali art, language, literature, song, music and culture has also selected a 17-members working committee. Whose vice-president is the folk-dhori singer Purnakala BC, the general secretary is the singer and musician B.P. Wagle, the secretary has singer/composer R.K. Tharu, singer/journalist Anita Chalane is the treasurer, model Anjali Adhikari is the co-treasurer.

Similarly, models Tika Jaisi, Naresh MC, Sandesh Adhikari, Abhishek Wagle, Asmita Puri, Prijol Bhandari, Gagan Bahadur Singh, Yudh Magar, Mahima Kushmi, Keshab Shahi and Rajesh Tharu have been selected as members.

The society’s general meeting was attended by Ranjita Shrestha Chowdhury, Minister of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, former Irrigation Minister Sanjay Gautam, outgoing Minister of Water Supply Abdul Khan, Shanti Chaudhary, central member of Civil Liberation Board, Somati Tharu, central general secretary of National People’s Liberation Foundation, Shiv Hamal and others.

In the program where various people who contributed to the society were also honored, the president of the society, Kamal BC, said that the society is always ready to work for the rights of artists and support them in happiness and sorrow.
