While ‘Chakka Panja 4’ was aggressive, Anmol’s ‘Chadke 2’ broke the breath

Since last October, the market of Nepali films has become almost stagnant. None of the Nepali films released till the end of January could collect even one-third of the investment. Instead, Hollywood and Bollywood films earned crores in this market. Although the film ‘Phoolbari’, which was released in the first week of February, did some satisfactory business, it was not as expected.

That’s why the hope of the film sector was in the two big films of February 19th ‘Chhakka Panja 4’ and ‘Chhadke 2’. As one is a series of brand films and the other is a film of actors with star power, many believed that the domestic market would return to the rhythm. ‘Chakka Panja 4’ did not let that hope and faith turn into disappointment. However, the film of Anmol KC, who is called Megastar, has lost its breath.

While ‘Chhakka Panja 4’ is on pace to earn 10 crores in the first week, ‘Chadke 2’ has reached the stage of leaving the hall. Some multiplexes have already released the film. The country’s biggest multiplex chain QFX has removed the film from Wednesday. The QFX chain has removed the film after most of the shows of ‘Chadke 2’ had to be ‘cancelled’ due to lack of audience.

It is said that because of Anmol’s stardom, the initial business of the film is aggressive. This has also been seen in the case of some films before. However, ‘Chadke 2’ looked miserable in the initial business. The film’s five-day collection is so poor that Jaikishan Basnet’s film earns better than that. The poor business of ‘Chadke 2’ has raised questions on Anmol’s stardom.

However, the film will not run on star power. The star power of the actor will do a lot in the initial business, but the film should be strong in itself to make a long journey. ‘Chadke 2’ failed in both these aspects. Anmol’s stardom did not attract the audience to the hall, when the review came, the audience who were making up their mind to watch it also lost their interest. Finally, Anmol’s career has become the most disaster movie.

On what basis did Anmol get ready to work in ‘Chadke 2’? Critics and viewers have not been able to understand that. Neither his character is strong nor the plot is top-notch. It is believed by many that he may have made the film for the greed of 50 lakhs. It is very sad that a promising artist like him makes a film that loses the faith of the audience towards Nepali films. This may jeopardize his career.

While ‘Chadke 2’ was critically and commercially weak, ‘Chakka Panja 4’ has won the lottery. The impact of Anmol’s stardom was that Deepakraj Giri group had a similar estimate that the business of ‘Chakka Panja 4’ on Friday and Saturday would not be expected. However, the impact of Anmol’s stardom was not seen in the theaters nor did ‘Chadke 2’ turn out well. And then, who will stop ‘Chakka Panja 4’ from printing money?
