Presidential Elections: Maoist Center, United Socialist, JSPN and others to support Nepal Congress

Nepal’s congressional candidate is very likely to win the nepali presidential election programmed for March 9 such as Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s CPN-Maoist Center and some other major parties decided to back the larger party.

Congress, however, has yet to decide who will be the party’s nominee. He Electoral Commission He has allocated five hours on Saturday to present the candidacies, so the party will have to make a decision tomorrow morning.

As reported, the Maoist Center, CPN Unity Socialist Party and Nepal’s Janata Samajbadi Party decided on Thursday to nominate United Socialist leader Madhav Kumar Nepal for president. But, today, party leaders including Nepal decided to endorse the Nepali Congress for president, party leader Prakash Jwala reports.

Other smaller parties including the Loktantrik Samajbadi Party, Janamat Party, Nagarik Unmukti Party and Rastriya Janamorcha have also accepted the decision, meaning it will be easy for the newly formed alliance to win the presidential election.

As agreed, all these parties will support the JSPN candidate for the vice-presidential elections that will take place a few days after the presidential ones.

With the new development, the Agreement of the Maoist Center to support the CPN-UML candidate because the presidential election has been ineffective, which means that the current ruling alliance is broken.
