‘Neerphool’ and ‘Welcome to Hemjakot’ released on Friday

After the film ‘Jari’, which was released on 1st Baisakh, there has been silence in the domestic market. Expected films are also performing disappointingly. The main reason for this is that the films themselves are not strong. The impact of the economic recession in the market is also seen to some extent in the business of Nepali films. However, the series of film screenings every week has not stopped. 

Meanwhile, two Nepali films ‘Neerphool’ and ‘Welcome to Hemjakot’ have been screened since Friday. Both films have raised social issues. ‘Neerphool’ presents the story of a family shattered by the earthquake, while ‘Welcome to Hemjakota’ tells the story of the problems caused by unemployment and foreign employment. Both these films have a challenge to break the silence of the market.

Directed by Phoolman Bal, ‘Neerphool’ stars Dayahang Rai, Shanti Waiba, Buddhi Tamang, Pushkar Gurung, Rajan Khatiwada, Saroj Aryal, Sarita Giri, Jimme Chyoiki Ghising. The film, which was completed about 5 years ago, has cinematography by Pramod Karki, music by Arjun Pokharel and Chandrakumar Dong and editing by Nimesh Shrestha. Director Bal himself wrote the film. 

Similarly, in ‘Welcome to Hemjakot’ written and directed by Saroj Paudel, Binod Neupane, Buddhi Tamang, Dinesh Khadka, Pradeep Dhakal, Sandeep Sigdel, Ambika Tamang, Sujaira Karki, Vishal Pahari, Ravi Giri, Rashmi Bhatt, Asmita Pant, Sharda Giri,Jayanand Lama and others are acting. Tej Prasad Dahal, Jitendra Giri, Baburam Karki and Suman Khadka are the producers of the film.
