Bidya Devi Bhandari, who recently completed her second term as the President of Nepal, has been accused of privatizing the official Twitter account of Nepal presidential office.
The verified Twitter handle @PresidentofNP has been changed as claimed by observers and social media commentators @bidyadibhandari. Twitter does not tolerate handle changes for verified accounts, so the verification has been removed.
New president Ram Chandra Poudel’s secretariat says that Poudel’s predecessor Bhandari has not yet told anything about the Twitter account handover. So far Paudel’s team is only using his old personal twitter account.
